One of the aspects that photographers want most, more than anything...more than the best equipment, or a vibrant couple, or even more money, is TIME.  Photographers need time to capture all the romantic and memory worthy shots that truly tell your love story.  As funny as it sounds, it is important to build TIME into your wedding day time line.  Time allows a photographer to look at the big picture, adjust for lighting, view different angles, and scope out interesting backgrounds.

When interviewing our couples for photo shots, 5 categories seem to apply:  Ceremony, Candids, Formals, Reception, and Romantics.  Can you guess which category couples choose as their most important?  The Romantics.  It is difficult, if not impossible to capture romantic shots during the ceremony and reception.  Most romantics are taken with the couple by themselves, without a lot of guests watching and snapping their own cell phone pics.  Romantics are a time alone for just the couple to take in their wedding day, the celebration occuring, the union they have become, and just breathe.  It's the photo that gets blown up and sets on their bed side table, the one that captures the entire wedding day in one frame.  The one photo that they turn to that re-ignites the love between them.

Imagine my excitement when I got the call that Brenda and Neri wanted Dos Kiwis Wedding Photography and Studios to capture their wedding day in...wait for it....CABO SAN LUCAS!  Sandy shores, blue skies and ocean beaches made the perfect backdrop for their big day.  The wedding was held at the Dreams Los Cabos Resort .  Set along the sparkling Sea of Cortez, the resort captures the beauty and elegance of traditional, colonial Mexican design.

Enjoying a day at the spa and double checking all is perfect.  And it is...beautiful!

Looking out upon the ceremony site, waiting for the time to exchange vows.

Walking down the aisle with miles of smiles.

Mr. and Mrs.

Formal portraits at the ceremony gazebo draped in white.

A kiss in front of the beautiful Sea of Cortez.  The brides bouquet of orange lilies, mixed with white and orange roses.  The groom wore a boutonniere made of an orange calla lily.

What an awesome shot of the wedding party having a good time. Screams, and shouts, and high-fives.

The reception was held in the outdoor courtyard under the blue skies and white paper lanterns.  Here they are having their first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Garcia.

The cutting of the cake...The groom is fireman, so his groom's cake would surely have a fireman theme.

Toasting under the stars and the glow of the paper lanterns.  So romantic...

Have you seen the "shoe game?"  The couple is asked questions and they each answer by raising either their own shoe or their spouse's.  Questions like...who wears the pants in the relationship?  lol  Let's just say it was a tie.

Brenda and her bestie girl friends.

One of the best garter photos ever!

Until our next adventure....
