There’s just something special about Christmas portraits.

Every year, as soon as we pull out the Christmas decorations and transform the studio, it feels like the start of a season that’s bigger than just photos. It’s about tradition. It’s about family. It’s about capturing a moment in time that you’ll look back on for generations to come.

That’s why we love offering Christmas portraits in the studio.

One of the things families appreciate most is that there’s no session fee. We want this to be easy and accessible for everyone. You simply come in, enjoy a relaxed and festive experience, and choose from packages designed for every budget. Whether you’re looking for a few images for holiday cards or something more heirloom-worthy to display year after year, there’s an option that fits.

What makes these sessions truly special is their longevity. These aren’t just photos for this Christmas. These are the portraits you’ll take out every single year when you decorate for the holidays. The ones that spark stories. The ones that show how your kids have grown, how your family has changed, and how love stays constant through it all.

We photograph individuals, couples, families, kids, grandparents — even multiple generations together. Those generational portraits are especially meaningful. Years from now, they become priceless.

The studio setting allows us to control the light, the look, and the details so your images are timeless, not trendy. Clean, classic, and festive — the kind of portraits that never feel dated no matter how many Christmases pass.

If you’ve been thinking about starting (or continuing) a Christmas portrait tradition, this is your sign. We’d love to create something beautiful for you and your family.

Armando and Melvin welcomed the morning with a sparkling Champagne wedding surrounded by their closest friends and family. The celebration was intimate yet overflowing with joy—every moment radiating warmth, laughter, and genuine connection. Alert the elves and warm up the hot cocoa — Santa is coming to Dos Kiwis Studio on Saturday, November 22nd!

That’s right. The jolly man himself is taking a one-day break from toy production, cookie taste-testing, and reindeer wrangling to drop by our studio. It’s basically the North Pole, but with better lighting.

🧝‍♂️ Why You Don’t Want to Miss This:

  • It’s Santa. The real deal — white beard, red suit, twinkle in his eye, and possibly cookie crumbs in his beard.

  • Professional Photos. We’ll capture everything from genuine joy to total toddler panic (both equally adorable).

  • Holiday Card Gold. Get those Christmas card photos done early, before you’re stress-printing at midnight in December.

  • Bribes Encouraged. Milk, cookies, candy canes… whatever it takes to get those smiles. (We don’t judge.)

πŸ“… When & Where

πŸ—“οΈ Date: Saturday, November 22nd
πŸ“ Location: Dos Kiwis Studio, San Antonio

Spots will go faster than Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve — so grab yours before they disappear! Whether you’ve got wide-eyed believers, too-cool teens, or even adults who “just want one for mom,” this is your chance for a little holiday magic (and maybe a little mischief).

Ho-ho-hope to see you there! πŸŽ„πŸ“Έ

Your little one is growing faster than you can believe — one day they’re learning to crawl, the next they’re off to kindergarten, and before you know it, they’re too big for piggyback rides. Every stage of childhood is a milestone worth remembering, and at Kiwi Kids Photography, we love helping families capture those precious moments that tell your child’s story.

Why Milestone Portraits Matter

Milestone portraits aren’t just about cute smiles and adorable outfits (though we definitely love those, too). They’re about freezing a moment in time — the missing front tooth, the birthday crown, the favorite stuffed animal that never leaves their side. These are the memories you’ll look back on years from now and think, “How were they ever that little?”

A milestone portrait session is a beautiful way to document growth, personality, and joy. And when you see these portraits displayed on your wall or in an album, you’ll be reminded daily of how special these years truly are.

Our Current Milestone Portrait Special

Right now, we’re making it easier than ever to capture your child’s milestone moments!

✨ No session fee for in-studio milestone portraits.
✨ Or, enjoy ½ off the session fee for an outdoor child session or when you include your child in a family portrait.

Whether you prefer the classic charm of a studio portrait or the natural beauty of an outdoor setting, we’ll help you create timeless images you’ll treasure for years.

Let’s Make Memories Together

We know how quickly life moves when you’re raising kids — but these are the moments that deserve to be remembered. Let’s slow time down for just a little while and capture your child’s story in portraits that will make you smile for decades.

Good news, y’all: our Family Portrait Session Fee is 1/2 off — just $125 (regularly $250) for a limited time. If you’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to update the wall gallery or prep your holiday cards, this is it.

Why fall in SA is the sweet spot

San Antonio’s fall brings softer light, warm golden grass, and those subtle Hill Country hues. Think mesquite greens, sun-baked limestone, and sunset oranges—perfect backdrops that make rich, cozy colors pop without clashing.

What to wear: color palettes that work

Here are foolproof combos that photograph beautifully against our local landscapes:

  • Deep Blues + Neutrals
Navy, indigo, denim washes paired with black and grey layers create a timeless, polished look that flatters every skin tone.

  • “Fall Blood Red” + Jeans
A saturated, wine/cranberry red top with classic denim is bold, seasonal, and stunning in golden-hour light. Balance with charcoal, tan, or ivory layers.

  • Burnt Orange + Jeans
Muted rusts and coppers harmonize with oak and limestone. Add greys or denim jackets to ground the palette.

  • Black & Grey (with Texture)
Monochrome never misses—just mix textures (knit, denim, suede) so the camera has dimension to play with.

Tip: Keep everyone in the same color story (shared tones and textures), not the same outfit. Coordinated > matching.

Western? Let’s ride.

If you’re feeling Texas-chic, lean into it:

  • Boots & Cowboy Hats: Go for clean, well-fitted pieces. Hats should be shaped and lint-free; boots conditioned.

  • Denim-on-denim works when washes vary.

  • Add turquoise or silver accents to tie looks together without stealing the show.

Styles & accessories for women (camera-approved)

  • Silhouettes: Midi dresses, tailored blouses with jeans, wrap or A-line styles that move. Avoid clingy ultra-thin jersey.

  • Layers: Cardigans, denim/leather jackets, structured blazers—layers add shape and depth.

  • Accessories: Simple hoops, stacked bracelets, a single statement necklace, or a silk scarf. If you choose a bold lip (cranberry/red), keep eye makeup soft and matte.

  • Footwear: Block-heel boots or sleek flats—comfortable enough to walk on grass.

  • Patterns: Keep them subtle (small florals, micro-checks). If one person wears a print, let others stay solid.

Pulling the whole family together

  • Choose 2–3 core colors (e.g., navy, grey, burnt orange) and 1 accent (blood red or metallic).

  • Mix solids + small patterns + texture (knit, suede, denim).

  • Keep logos minimal and avoid neon—bright fluorescents cast color onto skin.

Quick prep checklist

  • Steam outfits the day before, pack lint rollers and hair pins.

  • Empty pockets (no phone outlines or key bulges).

  • For little ones: backup tops and a small snack that won’t stain.

  • Plan hats/hair early—brim shadows are real; we’ll pose to keep eyes bright.

The offer (limited slots)

  • Session Fee: $125 (normally $250)

  • Perfect for: wall art, holiday cards, gifts, and updated head-to-toe family portraits

  • Booking is first-come, first-served during peak fall color.

Ready to make something beautiful together? Book your fall family session at Dos Kiwis Studio while the 1/2 off session fee is live.
If you’d like, tell us your palette (Blues/Black/Grey, Blood Red + Jeans, or Burnt Orange + Jeans—or Western!) and we’ll style the rest.
